Early WWII German Patronenkasten 36

This is rare early WWII German Patronenkasten 36. The maker code is 181 (Hugo Schneider AG) also abbreviated to HASAG with the date code 38 "1938".  It was used in conjunction with vehicle mounted MG34 & MG42 machine guns. It can hold 150 belted rounds of 7.92mm ammunition. This example has been painted several times, in standard miliary grey and desert camouflage and would have been used by the Afrika Korps. Note the repair / modifcation to the flap. The field armorer has welded it in a fixed position.
