Extremely Rare Armorers Vernier

Product Information

This is an extremely rare and original armorers vernier MKIII rifle stand/tripod. The makers mark is AML, with the Canadian ownership stamp (letter C with a and Broad Arrow within). It was designed to hold a Lee Emfield No4, but also houses an SMLE and was used when testing rifles for accuracy and design changes. During WWII Canadian firm Long Branch produced the No4 for the British war effort and would have used these stands when testing rifles. It is extremely well made and still in remarkably good condition with its original military drab olive paint work, leather clad clamps and evaluation adjuster.  We believe this may well be the only one of its type in the UK. Of the examples that were manufactured, most would have stayed in Canada and as with most military items once obsolete it is normally destroyed or sold off.  A great piece of rifle and WWII history. (RIFLE NOT INCLUDED - See product code ENF12.
