An excellent condition First World War M1917 Bayonet & Scabbard with leather frog and belt mount. Marked with US Government flaming grenade, on the reverse Winchester makers mark letter "W" circled and 1917. It is complete with it's stiff brown leather scabbard, frog and belt mounts. They fit the US P17 & UK P14 rifles and were also fitted to combat shotguns during WWI. The originally factory bluing is unmarked as is the scabbard. Only Remington and Winchester manufactured this model of bayonet with Winchester producing by far the fewest only 225,000, whereas Remington made 1.25 million.
