German Heavy Cavalry Troopers Sword with original steel scabbard

This is a German Heavy Cavalry Troopers Sword with original steel scabbard, circa 1850s. The blade measures 89.5cm with the over length being 104.5cm. It is a big sturdy sword with a heavy steel basket, grip wrapped in leather and bound with copper or brass twistwire. The blade is single-fullered and has some small nicks in the leading edge from around half way up the blade towards the end, and is maker marked. From horse back these swords could inflict bone crushing blows when engaging enemy soldiers.
