This is a very rare British military, "Indicator, Traverse, Tank No5 MKI" devise. Our initial investigations on this piece would indicate that its from a WWII British tank, and most likely used by the driver to determine the position of the tanks turret and gun. Most British tanks had a three man crew; driver, gunner and commander. The makers initials are A.G.I.Ltd of Croydon, England who during WWII produced a whole host of leading edge mechanical and electrical military devises.
