An early, first year of production Mills Fragmentation Grenade No5 MKI. Dated November 1915 (11/15), the makers initials on the brass base cap are B.G.L. - Birmingham Guild Ltd.  These grenades are most commonly referred to as a Mills Bomb. A rare early example it is complete with all internal parts including spring and plungers assemble.
