This is a very rare WWII Nazi K98 Kriegsmarine marked "Gewehr panzergranate", 30mm heat rifle grenade. It was fired from a grenade launcher attachment that was fitted to the muzzle of a K98. In 1944 as the Allies pushed towards Berlin, nearly all weapons were issued to German ground forces. However, this example is clearly marked to the German Navy (Kreigsmarine) and has the Navy acceptance stamp Eagle over M III/3. In comparison to the German Army, the Navy or Kriegsmarine were issued with tinny amounts of k98's and associated equipment. This variant is the late war type and is compete with all parts/sections correctly dated 1944 with markers codes. Still in great original condition with good clear Nazi wartime markings.
