Product Information

A very nice 1916 dated British 18 pound shell. Clearly marked with manufactures codes, ordnance markings and dates. The brass timer is marked " Delville Wood  1916" . The brass case in also dated 1916. This type of shell was filled with shrapnel. Height is around 23 inches (53.5cm). Delville Wood was an engagement in the 1916 Battle of the Somme in the First World War.
