This is a superb example of a WWI British 3 inch Stokes mortar bomb. It is dated 1917 with the makers initials "J & FP Ltd. Designed by Frederick Wilfred Scott Stokes in 1915, it was issued into service with the British military in 1916 and continued to be used until the Great War ended. This example is complete with fuse and primers.
