Inert WWI French VB Rifle Grenade

This is a First World War French VB rifle grenade or Viven-Bessiere. It was fired from a Lebel rifle using a grenade sleeve that was fitted to the rifle. This example has the maker initials "GM" and its original brass percussion cap cover. The brass cover was discarded prior to firing and are very hard to find.
