This is a WWII German incendiary bomb dated 1943. This actual bomb was dropped on Britain by the Luftwaffe during a WWII air raid but failed to detonate. Note impact marks on the side of the bomb. It has very clear Luftwaffe acceptance markings and German ordnance stamps. This example is the more heavier variant that was intented to break through tiled roofs before detonating. Thankfully it failed to do so.
