Product Information

This is an original Japanese Type 32, 1889 Pattern Cavalry Troopers sword with its matching steel scabbard. The blade is 30.5 inches in length which indicates that it is the second pattern. The markings of the hand guard are those of the Tokyo Hohei Kosho Arsenal and the inspectors stamps. They were used by Japanese forces during the Russo Japanese War in 1905, WWI and during WWII.
