This is a superb original early Japanese Type I leather holster for Nambu Type 14 pistol. The Type I holster is believed to be the earliest type of Nambu holster and has a solid leather closure strap, oval strap rings on the back, and no spare striker pocket stitched to the ammunition pouch. Inside is the orignal paper label with the owners name and most likely the pistols serial number. This holster would have been issued to a ranked Japanese soldier.
