Product Information

A hard to find Australian, Lithgow manufactured SMLE 1907 Pattern Bayonet with scabbard. Lithgow's SMLE and bayonet production was very small and very slow. From 1918 they started serial block A, beginning at A00001 and finishing at A99999 in the early 1920s. Up until the beginning of WWII bayonets were numbered to the serial number of the rifle they were issued with. This can be seen on the pommel of this example A7672. The date on the blade is August 1921 (8'21). The additional numbers "I57" would have most likely been added for WWII.
