An early original Second World War German K98 Bayonet & Scabbard. Both are matched serial numbers (2178k), matched maker (Coppel Gmbh) and date of 1938. Marked with correct Waffen code WaA253. The leather frog is by G. Schaub, Rotenburg a/F, dated 1937. It is very unusual to find such an early example with its matched scabbard, and with the correct leather frog issued along with Coppel bayonets.
