An original WWII British wooden transit chest for a Vickers or Lewis Machine Gun. It is dated 1938 with the initial B.M.B. and broad arrow acceptance stamps. It may well have been used by the British Expeditionary Force (B.E.F.)! Still in very good condition with both rope carry handles and lid clasps. Internally all the various compartments are as they should be. Now becoming very hard to find. Ideal to display with a Vickers.
