A very impressive and rarely seen WWII German 7,5cm PAK 40 shell. It is Nazi marked to the German Navy - Kriegsmarine with the acceptance stamp M Eagle II/10 with date stamp of 1942.  The shell stands 96.5cm high. They were used on a variety of naval war ships and U-boats during the war. Very few now survive as the majority of German naval hardware was either sunk in battle or scuttled at the end of the war with all munitions on board.
