These British military marked binoculars were made by Ross, London. The model is "Stereo Prism , Power = 8". Circa 1918. Unlike the majority of British binoculars these have the owners and retailers details on them. They were retailed by J. Brown, Opticians, Glasgow and sold to W.J.C.Cumming. Mr Cumming would have most almost certainly been a serving British Officer who would have had to purchase his own sidearm and kit including his binoculars. The optics are still pretty clear and both eye pieces can be individually focused.
