Product Information

Rare WWI imperial German army S14 "Type A" bayonet and scabbard. This example was manufactured by Bayard in Bulgium whilst under German occupation. The blade is stamped with the German Army Gothic D acceptance stamp. The SG14 bayonet was officially classed as an 'Interims Seitengewehr' bayonet. Meaning it was a 'substitute’ or non-regular type of bayonet used by the German's during the Great War. These bayonets were used in the early stages of the war when the German army was short of equipment and used other makers to supplement the shortfall. It fits the Gew98 rifle.
