This is a rare early First World War dated British Navy issued SMLE 1907 Pattern Bayonet & Scabbard. The pommel is marked with the a capital "N", this mark was only applied to weapons and equipment that were Naval property. The bayonet was made in July 1915 (7'15) by Sanderson. Great War Navy marked equipment is among some of the rarest owing to the small quantities allocated to them and losses at sea.
