This is a genuine WWII issued Far East Campaign issued Thompson 20 round magazine for the M1928 and M1(A1) submachines guns. The green painted finish was applied to both guns and magazines used during the Asia campaigns and against the Japanese in the tropics as a form of camouflage. It also provided protection from the wet humid enviroment. The magazine was made by US firm The Crosby Co. as part of the "Lend Lease" agreement between the US and UK Governments.
