Product Information

This is a rare and orignal WWII German Luftwaffe issued holster for the Browning 1922 pistol. The makers code is "jhg" - Gustav Genschow u. Co., AG, Lederwarenfabriken, Alstadt-Hachenburg and year of manufacture 43 = 1943. The "BA"  within an octagon with a number below stands for Bauaufsicht or Bauaufsicht Luftwaffe (construction inspection). Inside it also carries the correct wartime ink stamp script "nur fur Lange Browning Pistole Kal. 7.65" , meaning "only for long Browning Pistol Cal 7.65". Due to the huge losses suffered by the Luftwaffe the majority of these holsters perished. The overall condition is still extremely good with all stitching intact, as is the belt hoops, flap tang and fastening button.
