A very rare genuine WWII German MP40 machine gun blank firing adaptor with Nazi waffenamt stamped. It would have been used by German troops whilst on military exercises. It threads onto the end of the barrel of a live MP40, and has reduced hole, causing back pressure when being fired, which in turn blows the bolt back and simulates "cycling" or "blowback" as if firing live ammunition.
