Product Information

This is a rare WWII issued Lithgow made 1907 Pattern SMLE bayonet and scabbard. The bayonet was issued to The 2nd Military District (Australia). This covered most of New South Wales and had its HQ in Sydney. The scabbard was issued to The 3rd MD that covered all of Victoria and part of New South Wales south of the Murrumbidgee River, with its headquarters at Melbourne. The other numbers refer to a rack or weapon that it was assigned to. These marked bayonets and scabbards are rarely encountered outside of Australia.
