This is a rare WWII aluminum German Model 1910 mess kit with its original wartime painted finish. This example is marked RZM M6/1/39. The initials RZM were for the purchasing branch of the Nazi regime who procured equipment and materials for the Third Reich. In German this was the Reichzeugmeisterei. This particular mess kit has the owners hand scribed into it "H.HOFMANN". With some more detailed research it maybe possible to trace him.
