A Second World War British child or babies respirator / gas mask. This is a completely original and looks to be an untouched example. It comes in its original card box with carry laces, 1939 dated user manual and replacement/spare filter. The mask and attached filter are clearly marked and dated with the British manufacturers and wartime dates. It is fairly unusual to find an original card box is such good complete condition. They were issued to families throughout the war, especially in towns and cities that were targeted by the German Luffwaffe, and are a stark reminder of the constant threat to UK civilian population during the war.
