Colt 1911 M3/M7 leather holster. This style of holster was used by US forces during WWII, Korea, Vietnam etc. They were often used by US Airbourne and tank or armored vehicle units. With the pistol being holstered across the chest is was far less likely to snag or get in the way. This example shows sign of use and has a high quality strap repair. All hoops, fasteners and stitching etc are in good condition.
