An original WWI US Pattern 1917 Winchester Bayonet & Scabbard for the P17 rifle. This is a fine example. The blade is marked with the Winchester emblem and 1917 date with the US ordnance flaming grenade and acceptance stamps.  The scabbard is in great condition and is dated 1918 with the name "Harry" below what looks to be a sea horse. This emblem was used by the US Marine Regiments during the Great War. Winchester only produced 225,000 bayonets, whereas Remington made over 1.25 million. It will fit the P14 or 17 rifles.
