This is a fabulous condition First War World 1907 Pattern SMLE bayonet and scabard with rare leather frog. The bayonet was made by Sanderson and is dated 1'16 (January 1916) . During WWI and after WWI it was refurbished twice by RSAF Enfield and is date stamped 17 -1917 and 27 -1927 with the corresponding Enfield inspectors stamps on the blade and the handle. Original wartime leather frogs are very seldom seen. Although very faint the scabbard is also dated, this looks to be 1916 or 1918.
