Product Information

An early First World War, Imperial German Army marked, Gew98 rifle bayonet & scabbard with leather frog. Dated 1915 it was manufactured by V.C.Schilling, Suhl. This bayonet is a transitional version of the S98/05 with the high muzzle ears of the S98/05aA but the added flashguard of the S98/05nA. Flashguards were sometimes added bayonets sometimes by the unit armourers if they were issued K98az carbines as they then needed protection from the muzzle flash.
