Product Information

This is a WWI Imperial German Army officer's sword with its steel scabbard and Bullion cord and Portepee. They were issued to German officers during WWI including light cavalry and mounted artillery units and also issued and used by the Third Reich (Nazis) during WWII. The black handle is made of a material similar to bone with silver wire wrappings. It has a brass cross guard and hand guard. The blade is lovely original condition with its plated finish, and has a single edge with no chips or dings. The manufacturer's name Adolf Braun, Berlin. The metal scabbard still has it original black paint, with a single suspension ring attached near the throat.
