This is a superb condition WW1 dated US M1917 Bayonet with an original stiff leather scabbard and integral leather belt attachments. Dated 1917 it was made by Remington Roundel. On the reserve, the US ordnance ignited grenade acceptance stamp and Eagle's head, Frankford Arsenal mark. The bayonet is one of the best condition examples we have seen. The scabbard is marked with the makers initials KKD. These bayonets were made under contract by Remington Arms for the British P14 and for American P17 rifles during the first world war.
