Product Information

An early production First World War Vickers Machine Gun MKI Clinometer sight with leather carry case. The Clinomter was made by CSI Co Ltd, Cambridge and is dated 1915. The case is made by W. Ottway & Co Ltd, Ealing London and is dated 1935. Once attached to the Vickers as the barrel was raised it could be measured against the Clinometer to find the angle of elevation. Used by the British in both world wars. Lovely condition item which would make an excellent display with a first or second world war Vickers. The base plate on this one has been modified so that it will also fit other types of weapons.
