Product Information

WWI Vickers Machine Gun Clinometer with original leather carry case and straps. The Clinometer is made by A. Kershaw & Sons Ltd, dated 1918 and broad arrow marked. The case is manufactured by Hindmarch Bros. Ltd , dated 1918 and broad arrow marked. On the front of the case is the inscription, which looks to read as "Chl E Baxton". Once attached to the Vickers as the barrel was raised it could be measured against the clinometer to find the angle of elevation. Used by the British in both world wars.  Lovely condition item which would make an excellent display with a first or second world war Vickers.
