This is a First World War dated 1907 Pattern SMLE Bayonet & Scabbard. The maker is Sanderson with the original date of "9 17" - September 1917. This bayonet survived the Great War and was re-issued for WWII. Note the renmants of military olive drab paint on the pommel and riscasso. The scabbard is WWII manufactured and is marked on the locket and chape with the makers dispersal code M/44.
