Product Information

A WWII US made Legitimus Collins & Co. Machete, No 1250, dated 1940 with British issued 1941 dated brown leather scabbard made by BLG. It is also marked 44 with broad arrow stamp, with initial HSB30 below. They were used by British and allied troops during WWII, sometimes referred to as a "Bush Knife. No 1250' s were also issued to the Canadian Army during WWII. As it rapidly expanded, particularly its motorized units, this caused a great need for "machetes" or "bush knifes" one of which was to be carried on each tank and vehicle in planned offensive actions in Europe and elsewhere.
