This is a WWII British PIAT adjustable leg or foot. The Piat - Projector, Infantry, Anti Tank was designed mid way through WWII as an effective anti tank weapon that played a key roll during the Normandy campaign in 1944. Production numbers were relatively small with a little over 100,000 produced.
