Product Information

A late war Clinometer Sight MKIV dated 1945. The maker markings are R.Ltd New Zealand and DPL within a triangle. The serial number is 979, and would mean it was from the 1000 made that year. This type of Clinometer was used for sighting a fixed line of fire on various guns including the Vickers machine gun, 13 Pounder and 18 Pounder field guns. The top of the clinometer sight contains a spirit level with brass winders at each end that can depress or elevate the sight from twenty degrees depression to twenty degrees elevation. There are two spring loaded brass claws to facilitate attachment to the chosen weapon system. It comes with its an original leather carry case dated 1942.
