An original WWII era British military issued Scout Regiments MKIIs snipers spotting telescope. Manufactured by H.C.R .& Sons Ltd (H C Ryland & Son Ltd) with Broad arrow acceptance stamp. These spotting telescopes were first introduced in 1939 to be issued to British & Commonwealth snipers along with there No4T rifle. The sniper was one of the most important and hard working members of a regiment or unit. Often deployed ahead of the troop they could report back on enemy movements and could cause havoc sniping from hidden positions. Comes with its leather case and strap. This example is three draw with anti glare sliding eyepiece shield. All is in very good original condition with good optics.
