Product Information

This is a WWII dated Nazi gunners leather pouch. Its size would suggest it was used to house an anti aircraft spider sight and various tools to maintain the gun. The design is very similar the MG34 gunner pouch but larger, most likely for a 20mm or larger gun. The maker is Gustav Sudbrack, Bielefeld and is dated 1939 with Nazi acceptance stamp Eagle over 330. However, it was captured and used by Royal Signalman "Sansom" initial "B" who was attached to the 1st Royal Horse Artillery. His army number was 2376224, this means that he can be traced and is re-searchable. The 1st RHA were at Dunkirk and later deployed in the Middle East.

Accompanying this pouch is dated letter from the seller to the previous owner regarding this purchase. By strange coincidence the seller lived in the same town as us (Knighton).

Dimensions; H: 22cm, L: 20cm, W: 7cm
