This is a WWII German MP40 magazine. It was made by Steyr in 1941 who used secret makers code 98E and waffen acceptance WaA815. This magazine was converted from a slab sided to the ribbed type by Haenal and stamped WaA37 by them to indicate this. Note the ribbing stops before reaching the reinforcing at the top.
