Product Information

An original WWII Japanese Type 95 Shin-Gunto, Samurai military sword with matched scabbard. First introduced in 1935 to the Imperial Japanese Army it was specifically designed to be carried by Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs). Original wartime paint on both scabbard and handle. It bears the weapon number of both sword and scabbard (40804). At the base of the grip are the manufactures, inspectors and Japanese arsenal markings. The blade is undamaged with no clips or dings. Believed to have been brought back by a family member who served with the British Army in Burma during the Second World War.
