This is a WWII Nazi MG34 machine gunners leather spares satchel. It contained various tools and accessories for the MG34 machine gun. The makers mark is "ewx" = Franz u. Karl Voegels, Lederwarenfabrik, Cologne, 1941, with Nazi acceptance stamp Eagle over WaA195. The strap is marked 842. This is most likely the number of the gun it was allocated to. This particular example has seen plenty of action with various armorers repairs.
