A WWII German SS issued dog tag. This was issued to a member of the 3rd SS Fortress, Regiment, Berlin, his number was 65134. On the other side it is stamped "SS-VT" - Verfugungstruppe meaning Dispositional troops (troops that were at the personal disposal of the Führer). The tag is complete which suggests that this soldier survived. The 3rd SS Fest. Regiment were stationed in Berlin in 1945 and along with 4th SS Fest Regiment, had a combined total of 4 battalions totaling 2,800 men. These SS regiments were among the most loyal and battle hardened Nazi soldiers, willing to fight to the bitter end for their Führer!
