This is a WWII production oiler bottle for the US M1 Carbine. The makers initials "IS" were only used by Irwin-Pedersen and Saginaw. Saginaw reworked all of Irwin-Pedersen's M1's after they failed US inspection. The oil bottle was stored in the stock cavity and was used to hold the carbines sling in place. We only have limited numbers available.
