An original WWII US M1 Garand Bayonet by American Fork & Hoe (AFH). It dates from April 1942 to May 1943 when the US used six civilian firms produced this bayonet. Scabbard by Beckwith Mfg. This is an M1905 bayonet that was shortened(converted) to 10 inches from 16. This was done by order of the US military in an attempted to compensate for the thin steel used in some early bayonets.
