This is a rare US Navy marked WWII MK6 3" (76mm) 50 Cal wooden practice round - "Dummy Cartridge". Dated 1944, It would have been used during training or drill exercises. As with any WWII US naval item, they are rarely encountered this side of the pond! It stands around 88cm (just over 34.5 inches) in height. The weight is comparable to a live example.
