Product Information

A lovely condition single barrel percussion musket, chambered in 12 bore. Circa 1780-90s. Original a flintlock from the 1780-90s it was converted in 1830-40s to percussions. Fitted with a Walnut stock with hand chequering to the pistol grip. The barrel is 32 inches long. The lock feature hand engraving with a hunting dog chasing a game bird. The firing mechanism has drum and nipple percussion cap. This particular musket features and very unusual metal plate on the opposite side of the lock. It would appear to be a very unique and bespoke feature. Presumable fitted at the request of the owner or a design only used by the the maker. Full length ram rod with brass end cap. Still in great condition with a firm tight action.

Chambered in an antique obsolete calibre it can be owned live without any form of license. It has a very good condition bore and full working action.
