Product Information

A pre Zulu War British military issued, Birmingham Small Arms & Metal Company (BSA & MCo) Martini Henry MKII, Artillery Carbine. The receiver is marked BSA & MCo with date stamp below 1875. The stock markings show it was issued several times. Just visible in the wood work are the original unit markings, the initial "RD" and 1890. The roundal reads Birmingham 1892 with W/I\D - War Department and military broad arrow. The regimental brass disc is marked with the initials "V.W.Y. A. 4. 104" which is an abbreviation for the 4th Battalion, Volunteer West Yorkshire Artillery, weapon number 107. The initials "SX" indicate the extractor was strengthened to the 1885 Pattern. It has an original cleaning rod fitted and sling hoops. The action is still tight and crisp when dry fired.

Chambered in its original and now obsolete calibre .577/450, it can be owned live without any form of license. It has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. The bore is in very good condition.

This gun is being sold as a collectors piece only.
