Product Information

Rare London Small Arms Martini Henry Rifle. The receiver is date stamped 1883 with the LSA logo. The stock bears the LSA roundal with their name and address, and London proofs on on the barrel. It also bears a crown over T proof stamp, this proof mark was only used by Serbia on their military weapons. This is a very rare stamp to be found on a Martini. In the 1880s the Serbian Government ordered 100,000 Martini's from Britain but owing to disputes only a few hundred were ever delivered. It is quite plausible that this rifle saw action during WWI when Austro-Hungarian forces invaded Serbia in 1914. Serbian forces were not well armed or equipped and used all manor of weapons to defend themselves. Incredibly this Martini is still great condition with an excellent bore.

This rare example is chambered in .577/450  obsolete calibre and has a superb condition bore. It has a full working action and can be cocked, stripped an dry fired.
